Brexit: uncertainty is putting pressure on capacity to and from the UK

Freight volumes increasing rapidly

Brexit freight capacity

Due to continued uncertainty over how, when or whether the UK will leave the European Union - and with or without a deal - we are seeing rapidly increasing freight volumes to and from the UK, and particularly on routes to and from Scandinavia.

This increase in freight volumes increases pressure on capacity elsewhere too.

Delays may occur and our usual transit times between the UK and Scandinavia need to be seen only as indicative as it is difficult to make firm guarantees. In the event of a hard, "no deal" Brexit this situation will likely worsen.

DSV monitors developments closely and, based on the current demand for transportation in October, it is our estimate that freight volumes to and from the UK will increase even further.
